Bruce Rowden (10/3/1965-3/3/2019), 53, of Vienna

(March 7, 2019) — Gary Bruce Rowden, of Vienna, was born on October 3, 1965, at Waynesville, a son of Herbert Vance and Eugenia Marie "Jane" (Veasman) Rowden, and departed this life at 11:30 a.m., on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at his residence.  He had attained the age of 53 years and 5 months.

Bruce grew up in the Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Brinktown and was a 1984 graduate of the Maries R-1 High School in Vienna.  During his working life, he had been employed by Maries County in road maintenance as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic.  Bruce excelled in his ability as a mechanic and in small engine repair, and in the words of his Dad, "call Bruce, he can fix it."  He also really liked working in timber, cutting wood and Cedars, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being "#1 Grandpa" to Liam and Lucas as well.

Those left to mourn the passing of Bruce include:  His daughters, Liz Bruemmer and husband, Kurt, of Loose Creek, and Gina Eisterhold and husband, Adam, of Linn; his grandsons, Liam Bruemmer and Lucas Bruemmer; his father, Herb Rowden, of Vienna; his siblings, Ronald Rowden and wife, Elizabeth, of Vienna, Donald Rowden and wife, Peggy, of Dixon, Marilyn Blackwell of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Judy Slone and husband, Mike, of Dixon, Dennis Rowden and wife, Dot, of Vienna, Bryan Rowden and wife, Wilma, of Vienna, Brenda Rollins of Brinktown, Doug Rowden and wife, Rose Mary, of Brinktown, and Roger Rowden and wife, Amy, of Vienna; close friends like family, Darryl Wiles of Dixon, and Dusty Juergens of Rolla; nephews; nieces; great-nephews; great-nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family members preceding Bruce in death include:  His mother, Jane, on July 13, 2008; a brother, Michael Dean Rowden, on July 30, 2011; two nephews, Timothy Lee Rowden on January 6, 1989, and Travis Blaine Perkins on April 15, 2013; one niece, Melissa Kay Slone, on June 3, 1995; paternal grandparents, Ovid and Jessie Rowden; and maternal grandparents, Fred and Elizabeth Veasman.

Visitation for Mr. Bruce Rowden will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., on Thursday, March 7, in the Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 37515 Highway N, Brinktown, Missouri  65443, with his memorial prayer service following at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Matthew Flatley officiating, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna.  Honorary pallbearers for Bruce will be Kurt Bruemmer, Adam Eisterhold, Ronald Rowden, Donald Rowden, Dennis Rowden, Bryan Rowden, Doug Rowden, and Roger Rowden.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Bruce Rowden are suggested per the wishes of his family with envelopes available at the Church or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, Missouri  65582.
