WAYNESVILLE, Mo. (Oct. 27, 2015) — School officials announced Tuesday that Tim Harrison, a science teacher at the Waynesville Sixth Grade Center, was named the Teacher of the Quarter through the Project Teach Recognition Program sponsored by Sellers-Sexton.

Mike Freeman, general manager of Sellers-Sexton, presented Harrison with a $100 stipend during the October Waynesville R-VI Board of Education meeting. Sellers-Sexton, which recognizes teachers who have designed creative classroom learning projects, selected Harrison for his project, Scientific Investigation Game Boards. The students developed and designed a board game to help teach the scientific method and measurements and scientific vocabulary words, complete with instructions and game pieces.
