Waynesville and Crocker schools still open, most others closed Friday
PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. (March 1, 2019) — Four area school districts had already announced closures Thursday night for today, Friday March 1, but as of 10 p.m. Thursday, the Waynesville R-VI School District and Crocker R-II School are still having classes, with no announcement yet from the Swedeborg R-III Schools.
The Laquey School District was the first to close at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Richland R-4 School District at 6:15 p.m., the Plato R-V School District at 6:20 p.m. and the Dixon R-I School District at 6:24 p.m. All four districts have large rural areas with gravel roads that sometimes pose serious travel difficulties for school buses.
