Friday wreck injures two southwest of Dixon, one lifeflighted by helicopter

DIXON, Mo. (Aug. 6, 2022) -- A single-vehicle Friday afternoon wreck on Highway 133 southwest of Dixon injured two Dixon residents and totaled their vehicle. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, Harry L. Emfinger, 67, was moderately injured, but his passenger, Janet S. Rosario, 60, suffered serious injuries and was medevaced by LifeLine air ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.

Troopers reported that Emfinger had been driving a 2000 Chevrolet half-ton pickup southbound at 4:25 p.m. when he ran off the right side of the roadway about three miles from Dixon and struck a tree. Emfinger was transported to Phelps Health in Rolla by Dixon Ambulance District personnel; his vehicle was removed by TC Towing.

Neither person had been wearing their seatbelts, troopers reported.

Dixon Police Department officers assisted with traffic control at the crash scene.

In unrelated incidents, troopers reported the following recent arrests, both in Pulaski County:

• Amanda N. Robins, 33, of St. Robert, was arrested at 5:07 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2, on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and failing to wear her seatbelt. Robins was transported to the Waynesville Police Department and subsequently released.
• Corbin M. Moore, 21, of Richland, was arrested at 11:51 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3, on charges of driving while intoxicated by alcohol, operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, failure to provide proof of insurance, failure to register a motor vehicle, displaying license plates of another person, possession of 10 grams or less of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a valid license, leaving the scene of a crash, and failing to wear his seatbelt. Moore was transported to the Pulaski County Jail and subsequently released.
