St. Robert police filed Class E felony charges of fleeing police and Class D felony drug possession charges against Palmer for a police chase that began at 12:40 a.m. Sunday. A St. Robert officer reported Palmer was westbound on a Honda CRF450 dirt bike and his radar clocked the motorcycle as driving 56 mph in a 45 mph zone, and also said the motorcycle had no visible rear taillight or license plate.

According to police, Palmer fled, turned north onto Harlan Lane driving at least 30 miles per hour over the posted limit of 20 mph, continued out of the city limits, and "went down a private drive and through a private residence front yard." Police "continued to pursue the vehicle through the grass and back onto the gravel driveway" as Palmer accelerated, lost control of his motorcycle, "and wrecked in the driveway at approximately 15 miles per hour."

When arrested at gunpoint, Palmer "asked why police keep doing this to him" and admitted "that he had drugs on the motorcycle." A search of the motorcycle revealed a bag containing suspected methamphetamine which field-tested positive for that drug and has been sent to the state patrol crime lab for further analysis.

Sunday's incident wasn't Palmer's first contact with law enforcement.

According to the St. Robert charges, officers believed Palmer won't "appear on the charges due to him fleeing from Waynesville Police Department and the St. Robert Police Department" on Sept. 10, a pursuit in which Palmer was not caught. The Pulaski County Prosecutor's Office requested a $25,000 cash-or-surety bond, which Associate Circuit Judge Colin Long doubled to $50,000 cash or surety by a bail bondsman.

Less than a year ago, Palmer had a separate crash in which, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol citation at the time, he was driving a 2014 GMC Sierra on Route N south of Cortez Road, which is in the Dixon area, on Oct. 24 when he "traveled off right side of the roadway, overcorrected and travelled off the left side while overturning and impacted property fence." He was cited for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in an accident. However, the Pulaski County Prosecutors Office allowed him on Dec. 18 to plead guilty to a lesser charge of defective equipment, an infraction for which he was sentenced the same day to pay $274.50 in fines and court costs.

He's also scheduled to appear in City of Saint Robert, Missouri Municipal Court on Nov. 19 on a citation for driving his dirt bike without insurance on Aug. 13 on Old Route 66 in that city, and also in the same municipal court on Oct. 15 on a citation for failing to register a different vehicle driven on Old Route 66 on July 26.
